Does anyone know how to use black cohosh and evening primrose oil to go into labor?

HAVE TO GET THIS BABY INTO THE WORLD ASAP!

Does anyone know how to use black cohosh and evening primrose oil to go into labor?
Do not use Cohosh unless you are being directed in its use by a midwife or professional herbalist. It is an extremely potent herb that can cause harm if you do not know what you are doing.

Evening primrose does not induce labor, it softens the cervix to help you dilate, but does not initiate contractions. When you are full term (over 37 weeks) you can insert a capsule into the vagina at bedtime every night.
Reply:Please don't use any herbs or oils to cause labor. I know you're probably uncomfortable, but let the baby decide when he or she is ready.
Reply:If the nurse told you to use them I would call her back and ask her how to use them. Like how much and how often and when you should be concerned if something is wrong. If she cannot tell you that you shouldn't use them.
Reply:Not a safe method to use...enough said!
Reply:For crud's sake, don't take advice on something this important from a bunch of yobbos on the internet!

I do remember reading that evening primrose oil is toxic in large enough quantities, and black cohosh has some powerful phytoestrogens which could certainly mess things up if you don't know what you're doing (which it rather sounds like you don't).

Just because they're "natural" doesn't mean they're safe! Hemlock and nightshade are natural, and that doesn't make them a good idea to take willy-nilly.
