Evening Primrose Oil vs Raspberry Tea Leaf?

Whats best to take to ripen the cervix for delivery. I am 37 weeks 5 days along.

Evening Primrose Oil vs Raspberry Tea Leaf?
With my last baby I was so ready to have her that I went to the health food store and bought some different products. As I was about to use them my husband's friend informed use that some teas and different "natural" inducers that I was about to use caused fetal ceisures and stroke. I waited and now have a perfect little girl. I know it's hard - Hang in there!
Reply:I used evening primrose oil, and was told it was ok by my midwife. I don't know if it really helped, but my daughter was 5 days early. Good luck!
Reply:Rasp tea leaf IS NOT SAFE. Go to www.babycenter.com. It is NEVER safe to induce labor yourself. Talk to your doctor.
Reply:Always talk to your doctor first, but you can use both. With my last pregnancy I took a capsule of evening primrose oil as well as entering one in my vagina near the cervix at night. There is also a tea which contains red raspberry tea leaf, blue and black cohash, as well as other things. One is for preterm, which only helps your uterus become more toned, while another one is for when you're term (around 38 weeks) which you take every day. However, even with all of this, I was still 2 weeks late and didn't go into labor until just a few hours before my induction. However, I did have a decently easy labor, despite not taking childbirth classes. Pushing was fairly easy and labor was pretty fast for how my son was positioned (he was face-up, which prolonged pushing).
Reply:Just have sex...sex...and more sex. Sperm softens the cervix, and it is safe for the baby, as long as you aren't too crazy.
